S: Yes, the archetypal energies behind each sign based on element (earth, air, fire or water) and modality (fixed, cardinal, mutable) as well as the part of the body the sign represents influence the choice of movement. For example, Aries rules the head and is a cardinal fire sign. This inspires movements of the eyes and head as well as very active, fiery movements that initiate like punching and kicking. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, |
often called the baby of the zodiac. They like to throw tantrums. The Aries energy in all of us likes to punch and kick when we don’t get our way. (laughter).
K: This DVD really gives you the freedom to create your own set of movements. What was your intention there?
S: We’re overly caught up in being directed in life by external sources. We’ve lost touch with our own internal

rhythms, images and instincts. I want to encourage people to move from an inner pull rather than from their head or something external. There’s enough “follow the leader” role play in this life. We need to divert our attention back to our own inner source.
K: What is your favorite workout of all the signs?
S: Scorpio of course. I love the Eagle pose and the bellydance movements. Although the grounding movements of Taurus and the balletic movements of Libra are my second faves.
K: Do you suggest someone do the entire workout or just the signs associated with their charts?
S: I suggest the whole workout if you have the time. I’m about the holistic/whole enchilada approach. But if time is an issue as it seems to be for most of these days, go |
for your problem area or your own sign—whichever calls you most. Who has time to fuss around with a whole 60 minute workout—we’ve got text messages to send, Youtube videos to watch, Constellation installations to read.... That’s why the menu allows you to choose different 5-10 minute express workout segments. Forget Curves! :)
K: Zodiac Workout gives the body a full workout from head to toe at different intensities. Which signs tend to be the best at higher intensity activities? |
